The ice on the lake is usually out by Mid–April. It’s an annual bet we have among ourselves as to the exact day it will disappear. The lake’s water level comes up by Mid-May, that’s when the canoes, kayaks and motor boats go in the water. The buds on the trees start to pop along with the flowers. The birds are chirping away and the surroundings are ideal for fishing, golf, tennis or hiking on one of our trails.
